KIRCHHOFF Automotive offers body solutions that make the mobility of tomorrow safe. As a supplier to the automotive industry, KIRCHHOFF Automotive develops and produces complex metal and hybrid structures for bodyshells and chassis that are lightweight, economical and crash-proof. The family-owned company, founded in 1785, is part of today’s KIRCHHOFF Group, which is made up of the Automotive, Ecotec, Mobility and WITTE Tools divisions.<\/p>\n

The collaboration began with a comprehensive analysis of the security level. The results were evaluated from a risk perspective and a roadmap for improving IT security was drawn up. The core of the roadmap is to secure the IT infrastructure in accordance with the Microsoft Enhanced Secure Administration (ESAE) approach.<\/p>\n

After assessing the protection requirements of the IT assets, KIRCHHOFF Automotive and Teal proceeded in stages. Initially, the focus was on the assets requiring particular protection, followed by the other systems. Each layer of protection was better secured with organizational and technical measures.<\/p>\n

A central component is to ensure sustainability through compliance processes. Teal supports operations with continuous “health checks” and “compliance checks” to ensure that the concepts are always adhered to and that new threats can be identified and eliminated.<\/p>\n

The attack surface of systems is also continuously reduced by Teal taking care of system hardening as a managed service provider.
