WVV Logo neu

Würzburger Versorgungs- und Verkehrs- GmbH (WVV) is a modern, forward-looking municipal utility company that provides essential services for Würzburg and the surrounding region.

It embodies a commitment to customer-oriented services that seamlessly combine tradition and innovation. With a clear commitment to transparent operating procedures, sustainable development, and close cooperation between its various business areas and the community, WVV sets standards for future-oriented public utility and transportation services.

|| INITIAL SITUATION

As part of a comprehensive security assessment, TEAL analyzed WVV’s existing IT security architecture both in the cloud and in the on-premises environment. The focus was on identifying security-related issues, assessing their risks, and deriving structured options for action, including prioritization. Based on these results, WVV decided to continue working on these issues in a targeted manner and to seek external expertise for support.

|| SOLUTION

By joining the TEAL Expertise Community, WVV opted for a flexible consulting model that offers direct access to our pool of experienced IT security experts. In close consultation with the internal team, priority focus areas were defined, which are now being worked on and implemented step by step.

A central component of the collaboration is knowledge transfer: TEAL attaches great importance to anchoring expertise in the customer’s company in the long term. The aim is not only to improve the security architecture in the short term, but also to make it stable, comprehensible, and independently operable in the long term.

The TEAL Expertise Community actively supports WVV in the implementation of security-related topics. In regular consultations with a designated contact person, security content is identified, risk-based assessed, and prioritized. This structured approach ensures that continuous improvements are achieved and security measures are driven forward in a targeted manner.

Following the analysis phase, topic-specific working groups are formed in which TEAL experts work together with WVV specialists to develop and implement concrete concepts. The Expertise Community provides direct access to the know-how of various IT security specialists in a flexible, needs-based, and practical manner.

The close, collaborative partnership within the Expertise Community has made it possible to quickly implement specific measures from the initial security assessment. This allows security-critical issues to be addressed, leading to sustainable improvements in configuration and organizational handling of IT security. We look forward to working with WVV to shape the next steps and continue to support them on their journey.
